Diana Luis immigrated to East Palo Alto from Oaxaca, Mexico at age 3 with her siblings and parents. Her first job was at EPA CAN DO (a housing development organization in East Palo Alto) where she discovered her passion for community. Growing up in East Palo Alto, she experienced firsthand the inadequate representation and lack of resources, services, and healthcare in the Latino community. Diana joined Nuestra Casa’s Board in 2013 because she wanted to be part of the movement to create positive change in her community.

Diana received her insurance agent license in 2007 and started her career in sales and marketing for insurance companies. She is currently an Office Manager at State Farm.
