Guadalupe Perez, the creative force steering our Civic Engagement Program, grew up in Redwood City and is the proud daughter of hardworking immigrant parents. From an early age, she assisted her parents with translation and navigating vital documents. These early experiences inspired her interest in civic engagement work and motivated her to pursue a career in law.
As our Civic Engagement Program Coordinator at Nuestra Casa, Guadalupe’s mission is to craft engaging workshops that serve as launching pads for community members, igniting their leadership potential. Through these workshops, she sparks the flames of active participation, inspiring individuals to champion their causes. Guadalupe’s unwavering dedication to nurturing leaders and fostering meaningful dialogues makes her the driving force behind a more enlightened, engaged community.
Guadalupe proudly dons the alum crown of Santa Clara High School and San Jose State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies with a specialty in criminology. When she’s not immersed in her professional endeavors, Guadalupe unwinds by bending and stretching through yoga poses, conquering hiking trails, and indulging in epicurean escapades.
