The San Francisco Estuary Partnership, alongside community-based organizations and tribal groups, is addressing tap water quality issues in Bay Area communities. Checking Tap Water Quality describes SFEP’s Tap Water Quality Testing initiative, which highlights widespread distrust of tap water by the Bay Area’s Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. Through these collaborations, the project seeks to enhance public health, ensure equitable access to clean and safe drinking water, and address the unique needs of vulnerable populations.
